U.S.S. Stockton was one of three Shubrick class torpedo boats completed for the U.S. Navy.

↑ Register of Officers, 1903, p. 32 lists Yarnell's appointment date as 19 June, 1897, which is clearly wrong as Stockton was not commissioned until 1901
