George William McOran Campbell ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Campbell was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1911.[1]
Campbell was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 99 on 15 April, 1914.[2]
On 28 August, 1916, Campbell was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Blake.[3]
Campbell commanded the destroyer Obedient at the Battle of Jutland as part of the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla.[4]
Post-War
He was appointed in command of the battleship Thunderer in August, 1924.
