Rear-Admiral '''Godfrey Marshall Paine''', K.C.B., M.V.O. (21 November, 1871 – 23 March, 1932) was an officer of the [[Royal Navy]] and later served as an officer in the Royal Air Force.  He was the only holder of the office of [[Fifth Sea Lord]] in the ''dreadnought era'', being the most qualified airman in the Royal Navy.  He was the first Commandant of the [[Central Flying School]] and of the [[Central Depot and Training Establishment]], Cranwell (otherwise known as [[HMS Daedalus (RNAS)|HMS ''Daedalus'']]).  He became Director of Naval Aviation and the first Fifth Sea Lord in 1917, a post he held until naval responsibility for air matters ended with the creation of the Air Council in 1918.  He was then made Major-General in the RAF and made Master-General of Personnel on the Air Council (the Air equivalent of the [[Board of Admiralty]]).  He was promoted Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1919 and retired from the Royal Air Force on 12 May, 1920.

General James Henry Bor, C.B., C.M.G., R.M.A. (3 March, 1857 – 23 September, 1914) was an officer of the Royal Marine Artillery.

Promoted to Lieutenant General on 7 February, 1912.[1]
