The name ship for her class of four armoured cruisers, H.M.S. Warrior was commissioned by Captain Waymouth at Pembroke on 1 June, 1907.[6]

Construction & Delivery

Warrior was launched by Lady Windsor in bad weather that did not discourage a large public audience on 25 November, 1905 at Pembroke Dock in the Number 5 Slipway. She was projected to cost 1,183,946.[7]

Service

On 5 February 1907, a projectile fired from Warrior struck the village of Selsey. The Admiralty expressed severe displeasure toward Captain Arthur William Waymouth for having disregarded a circular letter of 14 January which outlined precautions that would have made such an accident impossible.[8]

In early 1913, Warrior was serving in the Second Cruiser Squadron.[9]

She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 1 July 1913.[10]
