Completed in 1888, H.M.S. Benbow was one of six Admiral class battleships.
Radio
In 1901, while serving in the Reserve Squadron, she had or was slated to receive a "1 to 52" W/T set.[5]
Practice
On 24 February, 1891, Captain Harry H. Rawson, commanded the ship, in company with Inflexible (Captain Henry Coey Kane) to be target of a night time torpedo boat attack in Volo Bay. Four second-class boats, one from Benbow, one from Inflexible and two from Hecla.[6]
