Commander (retired) Henry Francis Besant, O.B.E. (25 November, 1887 – 29 September, 1955) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Ludlow the son of Reverend J. C. E. Besant.
Besant was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1910.[1]
Besant was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1918.
Post-War
Besant was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 1 October, 1929.
