Two Wacht class avisos were completed for the Imperial German Navy in 1888-1889.
Design & Construction
Performance
The Wachts were poor seaboats that were very wet and pitched and rolled severely, as well as requiring lee helm. Despite this they could sail into a head sea with only slight loss of speed.[1]
