S.M.S. UC 55 was one of 64 submarines of the UC II class.

Service

She was sunk off the west coast of Scotland on 29 September, 1917 by the destroyer Tirade and other convoy escorts after suffering a diving misadventure which left her leaking and unfit to submerge.
