One of the Royal Navy's Anti-Gas Schools was located in Portsmouth, those officers on staff being born on the books of H.M.S. Excellent.
Superintendent of Anti-Gas Training
- Commander Harold G. Campbell, 12 December, 1921[1] – 11 September, 1922[2]
- Commander Cuthbert H. Heath-Caldwell, 5 September, 1924[3] – 16 August, 1926
Lieutenant-Commander Alan Gordon Grierson was appointed to the school on 24 September 1928, but it is not clear whether he was designated to this role.
