"S" Class Submarine (1914)

The three "S" Class Submarines, coastal submarines built to Italian design by Scott, were given to Italy in October, 1915.

These were the first double-hull boats built for the Royal Navy.[1]

In 1914, it was planned that seven torpedoes were to be appropriated for each boat, though it is not clear that this means they would be on board the submarine at one time.[2]
