Charles Barstow Theobald

Admiral (retired) Charles Barstow Theobald, R.N. (5 August, 1843 – 25 December, 1905) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Theobald was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant with seniority of 5 October, 1863.

Theobald was promoted to the rank of Commander with seniority of 16 November, 1865.

Theobald was promoted to the rank of Captain with seniority of 25 March, 1873.[1]

Theobald was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1893.[2] He was placed on the Retired List on 5 August, 1893.

Theobald was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 13 July, 1899,[3] and to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 15 March, 1904.[4]
