The European Squadron was a formation of the U.S. Navy. Before the American Civil War ended, it was called the Mediterranean Squadron.

In 1905, it and the South Atlantic Squadron merged into the North Atlantic Fleet. Following World War I, the United States maintained a force in European waters that was the successor to the Squadron in function, if not in name.
