Gerald Frederick William Addison

Lieutenant Gerald Frederick William Addison, R.N. (13 June, 1888 – 9 May, 1913) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Queen's Crescent, Southsea, Addison gained four months on passing out of Britannia in May of 1904. He was first sent to join Centurion on the China Station. After fifteen months, he was appointed to Irresistible for one year in the Mediterranean. On 26 September 1906, he was invalided from her with anemia.
Addison was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1910.[1]
Addison drowned when he was swept from Hope, in which he was first lieutenant, by a heavy sea off Copinsay Island in the Orkneys.
