Service

Coventry was re-commissioned at Chatham on 1 May, 1920 bearing Rear-Admiral (D) Commanding Destroyer Flotillas of the Atlantic Fleet.[8]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 8 May, 1923. She would proceed to the Mediterranean, this time to accommodate Rear-Admiral (D) Commanding Destroyer Flotillas of the Mediterranean Fleet.[9]

She commissioned at Portsmouth on 10 June 1926 for service in the Mediterranean.[10]

The ship was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 6 August, 1930.[11]

Re-commissioned with Reserve Complement on 1 August, 1935.[12]

Commissioned on 13 April, 1937.[13]

Alterations

Coventry was fitted with a director system in February, 1918.[14]
