Lieutenant-Commander (retired) James William Palmer, R.N. (12 October, 1856 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Palmer was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 8 August, 1887.
Palmer was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 3 September, 1908.
Palmer was pensioned with the rank of Lieutenant on 23 December, 1911.
Palmer was brought back for service in the Great War, commanding Tay from 1 July 1915 to 3 June, 1919. He was reverted to the Retired List with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 4 June 1919.
