John Arthur Symons Eccles

Admiral SIR John Arthur Symons Eccles, C.B.E., K.C.V.O., K.C.B., (20 June, 1898 – 1 March, 1966) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1920.[1]

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1928.[2]

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1933.[3]

World War II

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1939.[4]

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1949.[5]

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 22 April, 1952.[6]

Eccles was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 1 December, 1955 and retired on 28 February, 1958.[7]
