Morgan John Yeatman
Captain (retired) Morgan John Yeatman (18 December, 1895 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Yeatman was appointed to the battleship Dominion from 15 May 1913 until 6 September 1915. After three months in Cheerful, he was appointed to the new destroyer Minion on 24 December 1915. In this ship, he participated in the Battle of Jutland as she operated with the First Destroyer Flotilla.[1]
Yeatman was promoted in Minion to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1917 and served in the ship until being appointed to the flotilla leader Broke on 18 January, 1919.[2][3]
Yeatman was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1925.[4]
Yeatman was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1931.[5]
World War II
Yeatman was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 18 December, 1945.[6]
