In October, 1911, Rear-Admiral King-Hall left the Admiralty to hoist his flag as Rear-Admiral in the Second Division of the Home Fleet.[1] Captain Alexander L. Duff was announced as his replacement on 6 September,[2] and was formally appointed Director of Naval Mobilisation on 19 October.[3]
