U.S.S. New York was one of two New York class dreadnoughts completed for the U.S. Navy.

Service

New York was commissioned on 15 April, 1914, with Captain Thomas S. Rodgers in command.

In December, 1917, she was one of four American battleships to join the Grand Fleet, under the command of Captain Charles F. Hughes.[2]
