Dr. Christopher Buckey is a naval historian whose work has focused on the Royal Navy in the decade prior to the First World War.

His doctorate thesis, "Forging the Shaft of the Spear of Victory: The Creation and Evolution of the Home Fleet in the Prewar Era, 1900-1914", was completed in 2013 at the University of Salford under the supervision of Professor Eric J. Grove, now at Liverpool Hope University.

Consider him the James May of Tone's Fighting Ships.
