Rear Admiral William Thomas Swinburne (24 August, 1847 – 3 March, 1928) served in the United States Navy.

Life & Career

Swinburne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 21 March, 1880.

Swinburne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander in March, 1887.

Swinburne was promoted to the rank of Commander on 28 December, 1895.[Fact Check]

Swinburne was promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral on 22 July, 1906. By 1909, he was commanding the Pacific Fleet.{FC}}
