Arthur Rodney Pittis Martin

Commander R.N.R. (retired) Arthur Rodney Pittis Martin, R.D., R.N.R. (9 October, 1879 – 1 December, 1959) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Martin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 18 October, 1909.[1]
Martin was placed on the Retired List on 1 February, 1914.[2]
On 18 July 1916, he completed a 30 days training course in Gunnery at H.M.S. Pembroke, obtaining a first-class certificate with 692 marks.[3]
He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 18 October, 1917.[4]
Martin reverted to the Retired List on 27 June, 1919. He was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. in recognition of his wartime service, dated 11 November, 1918.[5]
