Charles Ronald Cameron

Lieutenant R.N.R. Charles Ronald Cameron, D.S.C. ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve. The Navy List of December 1918 shows his middle name as "Roland".

Life & Career

From September 1914, Cameron was active with the Cromarty Minesweeping Flotilla, first appointed to Columbine, and then to Stephen Furness from 19 January, 1915 and then Thalia from some time in 1916.[1]

Cameron was promoted to the temporary rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 25 June, 1915.[2]

Cameron worked in minesweeping with the Auxiliary Patrol in the first half of 1918.[3]

He was demobilised on 24 July, 1919 and was invested with the D.S.C. at Buckingham Palace on 15 November, 1919.[4]
