John Willits

Captain R.N.R. (retired) John Willits, R.D. (2 January, 1878 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Willits was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 7 August, 1909.

Willits was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 7 August, 1917.

Lieutenant-Commander, R.N.R. Willits was appointed in command of the destroyer Nith on 11 October, 1918.

Demobilised on 4 November, 1919.

Willits was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 30 June, 1922.

Willits was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain R.N.R. on 2 January, 1928.
