The President of the Royal Naval War College was the officer in command of the Royal Naval War College, based first at Greenwich and Portsmouth. Originally, while based at Greenwich, the President was also the Captain of the Royal Naval College, Greenwich. After the move to Portsmouth, the Flag Officer in command became officially a servant of the Commander-in-Chief, Portsmouth, with an annual extra allowance of £200/-/-.
