Robert Fry

Commander R.N.R. (retired) Robert Fry, R.D. (13 April, 1882 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Fry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 July, 1913.[1]

Fry was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 115 on 21 August, 1917. He would be cautioned after grounding her in 1918.[2]

Fry was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 July, 1921.[3]

Fry was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 13 April, 1927.[4]

World War II

In 1948, he reported that he was living in London, unemployed, and that he was fit for home service only.[5]
