Ronald James Mortimer

Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. Ronald James Mortimer, D.S.C., R.D. (17 December, 1880 – 10 March, 1943) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Mortimer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 1 October, 1910.[1]

Mortimer suffered two adverse reports in 1918 while in command of the destroyer Bullfinch: one due to a collision, and the other for a delay in sailing.[2]

Mortimer was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 1 October, 1918.[3]

He was demobilised on 30 August, 1919.[4]

He retired on 31 March, 1924 (perhaps, oddly, altered to 1922?).[5]
