The Second Battle Squadron fielded eight dreadnought battleships under the command of Vice-Admiral Jerram at the Battle of Jutland. The squadron was disposed in two divisions.
Order of Battle
2 B.S. comprised the first and second divisions of the Battle Fleet, leading the Royal Navy's 24 dreadnoughts in the following order after deployment into line ahead:[1]
- King George V, Captain Field
Vice-Admiral Jerram - Ajax, Captain Baird
- Centurion, Captain Culme-Seymour
- Erin, Captain Stanley
- Orion, Captain Backhouse
Rear-Admiral Leveson - Monarch, Captain Borrett
- Conqueror, Captain Tothill
- Thunderer, Captain Fergusson
