UC III Type Submarine (1918)

Germany started launching UC III Type coastal minelayer submarines in 1918. Sixteen were commissioned before the end of the war and nine were completed after the war.

Design
These were a considerable improvement over the preceding types of coastal minelayers. They could dive to 75m.
Torpedoes
- two 50cm external tubes amidship firing forward
- one 50cm tube in stern
Seven torpedoes were carried.[1]
Mines
- fourteen UC 200 type mines
Guns
- one 10.5cm KL/45 (in some)
- one 8.8cm KL/30 (in others)
