Commander R.N.R. (retired) William Lawrence Rosseter, R.D. (16 September, 1884 or 1885 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve. He reported his birth year as 1885 in 1948, though his Service Record has 1884.
Life & Career
Rosseter was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915.[1]
Demobilised on 1 July 1919.[2]
Rosseter was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1923.[3]
Rosseter was placed on the Retired List owing to non-service on 22 April, 1924 and was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1925.[4]
In 1948 he reported that he was living in Cheshire and working as a Clerk and Marine Surveyor in Lighting and Buoying Channels.
