H.M. T.B. 87 was one of six first-class torpedo boats of the T.B. 82 class.

Service

In 1895, she was one of thirteen T.B.s of 125 feet or greater length and four smaller ones stationed in Devonport.[4]

In July 1914, T.B. 87 took part in the Test Mobilisation.[5]

In July, 1918, the boat and three minelayers from the Fast (15th Fleet) Sweeping Flotilla were the only defence forces in Falmouth.[6]
