John Roderick Segrave ( – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Segrave was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1893.[1]
He was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1904.[2]
He worked at the Naval Intelligence Division for three years, starting in February, 1905, leaving to take command of the Philomel on 1 February, 1908. He would remain in her until being superseded on 3 June, 1909.[3]
Segrave was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1911.[4]
He was appointed in command of the armoured cruiser Bacchante in November 1915, remaining with her until the following February when he was made Captain of Lancaster.
He was appointed command of the light cruiser Neptune on 15 October, 1918.[5]
