Admiral of the Fleet SIR Arthur John Power, G.C.B., G.B.E., C.V.O., (12 April, 1889 – 28 January, 1960) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Power was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 April, 1910.
Great War
Power was appointed as gunnery officer in Magnificent on 27 August, 1914, leaving her in January, 1915.[1]
Power was appointed as gunnery officer in Royal Arthur in January, 1915, leaving her on 28 March, 1915.[2]
Power was appointed as gunnery officer in Raglan on 6 May, 1915, leaving her on 17 August, 1917 to provide that function in Princess Royal. Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 April, 1918, Power remained with Princess Royal until she paid off on 17 October, 1919.[3]
Post-war
Power was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1922.
Power was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1929.
Power was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 25 June, 1940.[4]
