U.S.S. Truxtun was one of one hundred and fifty-six Clemson Class destroyers completed for the U.S. Navy.

Service

Truxtun was commissioned at the Philadelphia Navy Yard on 16 February, 1921 under the command of Lieutenant Commander Melville S. Brown.
