H.M.S. Selkirk was one of one hundred and fourteen Hunt Class minesweepers completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
She was brought to full complement under the command of Lt. Cdr. Noel Alfred Beal on 9 May, 1927.[6]
Completed to full complement at Portland on 17 April, 1928 for service with the First Minesweeping Flotilla.[7]
Reduced to special complement on 16 June, 1930.[8]
Re-commissioned on 29 September, 1936.[9]
