H.M.S. G 2 was one of fourteen "G" class submarines completed in Britain during the Great War, intended primarily to hunt German U-boats.

Service

On 28 October, 1918, she sank U 78 in a night attack at 56deg 16' N., 5deg 15' E..[7]
