H.M.S. Laurel was one of twenty-two destroyers of the Laforey class.
Service
At the Battle of Jutland, she operated as one of six Harwich Force destroyers screening the Second Battle Cruiser Squadron. She rescued 18 survivors of Queen Mary.[6]
Reduced to C. & M. Party at the Nore on 29 November, 1919.[7]
Habitability
In July 1914, it was decided not to supply portable fans to ventilate the Stokers' Mess Deck and the Chief and Petty Officers' Mess Deck.[8]
