Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. John Chapman, ( – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
On 9 November 1916, he was appointed to {UK-Attentive}} as a Temporary Sub-Lieutenant R.N.R. for instruction in Paddle Minesweeping.[1]
Chapman was appointed to Colleen for Hurst on 24 September, 1917 and re-appointed upon being promoted to the rank of Temporary Lieutenant R.N.R. on 9 November, 1917. It is not certain that he was in command, however, until being re-appointed to the ship once more on 24 January, 1919.[2]
