H.M.S. Osprey was one of forty "C" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy — a "30 knotter".

Service

In March 1904, Osprey was involved in a collision with Vixen, whose Lt. in Command Geoffrey Basil Spicer-Simson was told to be more careful in future.[8]

In late 1905, she was one of eight destroyers in the Third Division of the Channel Fleet's Destroyer Flotilla.[9]

In mid-1913, active with Sixth Destroyer Flotilla.[10]
