Commander R.N.R. (retired) Frank Cecil Greenwood, R.D. (24 August, 1886 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve. He would develop, by 1928 at least, some facility in French, German, Hindustani and Swahili.[1]
Life & Career
Greenwood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 August, 1915. He served as first officer in Liffey from June to December, 1917.[2]
Greenwood was appointed command the destroyer Sprightly on 2 February, 1918 and re-appointed in command on 15 May, 1918.[3]
He was demobilised on 14 May, 1919.[4]
Greenwood was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 August, 1923.[5]
Greenwood was placed on the Retired List at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 October, 1928.[6]
