Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. (retired) Alexander Robinson, (4 June, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Robinson served in Donegal, T.B. 109 and Kale during the war.[1]
Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 4 June, 1918. On 30 August, he was appointed to the third class protected cruiser Proserpine.[2]
Invalided back to England on 10 March, 1919, Robinson would be demobilised on 6 June, 1919. H. B. Bedwell, captain of Proserpine, wrote that Robinson had "not much technical knowledge of his profession, but has the gitf of getting men to work well for him."[3]
Robinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 4 June, 1926.[4]
World War II
Served out of Port Said from August, 1939.[5]
