H.M.S. Snap was one of twenty-four gunboats of the Ant class. She was sold before the First World War.

Service

In 1876, she was one of several gunboats at Portsmouth without captains assigned to them.[4]

She was sold to Deaker of Hull for £900 during 1909 at Chatham.[5]
