Commander R.N.R. Lionel John Edwards, R.D. (20 June, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Edwards was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 078 on 23 March, 1917 and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 April, 1917. He would command the torpedo boat through the end of the war and leave her when he was appointed to a ship, possibly Magpie, as first lieutenant on 20 January, 1919. He was there just briefly, as he was demobilised on 28 February, 1919.[1]
Edwards was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on 2 April, 1925.[2]
Edwards was promoted to the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 31 December, 1931.[3]
