Lieutenant R.N.R. John Edward Pearce Hocken, R.N.R. (19 July, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Hocken was appointed as Acting Lieutenant in command of the second-class torpedo boat T.B. 063 on 14 May, 1918.[1]
Hocken was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 19 July, 1918. He wanted to serve in submarines, but was deemed unfit due to ill health. His command of T.B. 063 ended in January 1919 and he was demobilised on 6 March, 1919.[2]
During a 1923 training stint in Vulcan, he was noted for having modest skills in French and Spanish and some understanding of submarines. He was removed from the list on 26 July 1926.[3]
