H.M.S. Viola was one of twelve Aubrietia Class convoy sloops completed for the Royal Navy. She also served under the name H.M.S. Q.14 at times, functioning as a decoy ship.
Service
James Hogg was appointed in command in August, 1916 and the ship took on the name Q.14 soon thereafter.
