Lieutenant Donald John Grange Watkinson, (3 May, 1899 – 10 January, 1924) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
A Special Entry to the Royal Navy, Watkinson entered the service on 7 September 1917. In 1918, Midshipman Watkinson served in the battleships Dreadnought and Warspite.[1]
Watkinson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1921.[2]
Watkinson died aboard L 24 when she was lost with all hands following a collision with battleship Resolution eleven miles off Portland Bill on 10 January, 1924. He is entombed within the submarine at thirty fathoms depth.[3][4]
