H.M.S. Myngs was one of one hundred and three destroyers of the "M" class built for the Royal Navy during the Great War.

Service

Around March 1915, she joined the Tenth Destroyer Flotilla, which was part of what would become known as the Harwich Force.

In April, 1917 she moved to the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla, which was part of the Dover Patrol. On 5 June 1917, she was part of a force that was wrongly credited with sinking the German torpedo boat S 20.[7]

She would remain with 6 D.F. until being sent to The Nore to be deactivated in March 1919.
