On 23 March, 1910 Keighly-Peach served as President of a Court-Martial held at Chatham to try Commander James William Guy Innes "who was charged with having by negligence, or by default, stranded the ocean going destroyer Saracen, of the First Destroyer Flotilla, on the South Shoeburyness Sands on March 7". The Court found that Innes did by default strand the ship, and adjudged him to be severely reprimanded. He was acquitted of stranding the ship by negligence.[5] He was re-appointed to command the armoured cruiser Hogue on recommissioning, dated 12 October, 1910.[6]
