Rear-Admiral John Harvey Forbes Crombie, C.B., D.S.O. (16 February, 1900 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Crombie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1920.
Crombie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1928.
Crombie was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1934.
World War II
Crombie was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1941.
In 1942, he was acquitted on a charge of hazarding Bramble.
Crombie was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 7 July, 1950. He suffered a hernia in 1951 or 1957.
Retired 22 October, 1953.
