H.M.S. Proserpine was one of eleven Pelorus class cruisers completed for the Royal Navy between 1898 and 1901.
Service
Proserpine commissioned at Malta on 26 February, 1913 for service in the Mediterranean.[7] She returned to Sheerness, arriving on Christmas Day, 1913 after spending three years in the Mediterranean, destined to be replaced on station by the light cruiser Weymouth.[8] She was re-commissioned at Sheerness on 9 January, 1914.[9]
